Fashion designing I guess

konichiwa:)

The other day in our textiles lesson, our teacher was at a meeting so we had a cover and we were allowed to do pretty much anything we wanted. We weren't allowed to use the tye-dyes or sewing machines so instead, ma copain, Jess et moi thought we'd try to design some stuff...

Here are a few of the things I did, sorry that the pictures quite white I coloured them quite lightly x x

Guitar and all that jazz

'ello 'ello
Today I've been off school sick so this evening I thought i'd try and learn a bit on guitar to free me from boredom. I've never had any lessons or any books about chords I've just used the internet and not gonna lie, I can't play the guitar to save my life. But anyway...

Recently I've become obsessed with the band Bastille and their song 'Flaws' Since I love this song so much I thought i'd give it ago and since it mainly consists of a few chords, C, G and Em (I think:')

I completely failed...

In the end I settled in watching people that can play and sing and here's the most amazing cover
EVER...

This amazing girl's twitter username is @itsearthtoanna
Go follow her now!

Have a nice evening

Versace - Baby Rose Jeans perfume

So, this is my most favourite perfume ever. It's made by Versace and is called Baby Rose Jeans. This was my first ever perfume that I got given to by my lovely Godmother.

The bottle and concept are cute and adorable. It's a petite 7.5ml bottle with a frosted glass finish and cute pink topper. The scent  has a soft rose smell to it with a slight hint of vanilla.

When you first spray it, it's got this somewhat sharp "perfumey" smell which screams 'early 90s'. Then after it's dried down it becomes a little softer and semi powdery. On the tin it's got mandarin orange listed, I don't find it citrusy at all though.
It's nice and would make a good gift to a young girl who is growing tired of sweet fruity florals because it would make her feel sophisticated and classy.I would recommend you test first and not to blind buy.

For the 50ml bottle, prices vary from £15 - £28.99 depending where you purchase it from but It's so worth it as I've got the 7.5ml bottle and it's lasted me for more than a year, I don't wear it daily but I do wear it regularly.

Sadly, the scent doesn't last that long as it wears off quite quickly.

Versace have made other types of perfume and a couple more in this 'Baby Jeans' category.
There's the Baby Red Jeans and Baby Blue Jeans. I haven't tried these products yet but I am hoping to
soon x

Olay 7in1 Foundation

Aloha

First beauty product review, ooooo exciting, well not really but anyway...

I thought I'd review the...

Olay Total Effects Touch of Foundation BB Day Moisturiser

I'm not really a foundation person, mainly because I'm so pale that when i wear it I look like a massive walking Dorito (even with the fair shades!) Hmph. However this product has completely changed my mind. This Olay product is more of a moisturiser and that's why I love it, it's not too heavy on your skin but it also does what you want from a foundation, thanks to Maxfactor.

Olay's Total Effects packs a powerful punch with its seven skin saviours:

Evens tone: The inclusion of Max Factor foundation blurs imperfections and leaves skin looking naturally flawless. This is available in three shades - fair, medium and dark - so there is one for every skin tone.

Moisturises: Containing nourishing ingredients, Olay's Total Effects leaves skin with a healthy, radiant glow and hydrated for a firmer skin appearance, which, let's face it, can only be a good thing.

Gently exfoliates: Skin texture is smoothed and even.

Brightens: Skin surface is improved and dull skin is noticeably brighter.

Refines: The appearance of pores are minimised.

Anti-ageing: The appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced.

Protects: and if this all wasn't enough, SPF 15 is included to help protect skin from UV damage.

When rubbed in gently with fingers

This product really is excellent and I recommend it because it says everything it says it does on the box

Tropical Coconut

Bongiourno :-)

Today I'm a bit poorly and off school so I thought I'd post something to free me from boredom x

Recently I've become a massive fan of scented shower gels, especially fruity ones! I've already tried some of the Body Shop ones which smell so good that you want to eat them... I recommend the Vinyard Peach Shower Gel, the scent lasts quite a long time and it makes your skin feel so soft. I personally think the Body Shop gels are quite pricey though at £4 so I went searching for something just as good for a cheaper price...

So far, this is the best thing I've found...

Wilko Tropical Shower Cream Coconut

This Tropical Coconut shower cream from Wilkinsons is one of the best things I've brought recently, it's a very good price of £1 and the scent is absolutely  A M A Z I N G. It smells coconuty, obviously, but it's also got a slight citrus hint to it which tops it off completely. It comes in a large bottle (250ml)  so it lasts a week or so, depending on how much you would use it.

This cream also comes in a few other scents, all priced at £1 and they consist of...
Juicy Fruity Shower Smoothie Berry (200ml)

Mint Shower Cream

Juicy Fruity Shower Cream Lemon 250ml

Newspaper Nails

So, I've seen these newspaper nails before and since I love reading and all things like that, I thought I'd give them a go :-)

First of all, you'll need to gather your supplies....

♥ White Nail Polish
♥ Newspaper
♥ Rubbing Alcohol
♥ Clear Shiny Polish for the top coat

Step One ...

Tear off some small pieces of newspaper, make sure they'er big enough to cover your nail though!

Step Two ...

Paint your nails with a basic white nail polish. I would recommend painting two coats on as it lasts longer but if your short on time try one coat, see how it goes. You could also try this step with a different colour like a pastel blue, pink or anyone of your favourite colours. Make sure your nails are completely dry before moving onto the next step!

Step 3 ...

Dip a piece of the torn up newspaper into the rubbing alcohol and drench it well. I pour a small amount into the bottle's cap and dip the pieces in that way. It's quite a bit easier and less messy x

Step 4 ...

Press the bit of newspaper on your fingernail hard for about three seconds and peel it off. I found that pressing down hard helps the words to come off darker, but you don't want to leave the paper on for too long because the alcohol will cause your nail polish to smear and smudge and make a mess of your white polish.

Step 5 ...

Time for your top coat woooo :-) Try and add a good amount of clear polish to protect your design.

Hope these were easy enough to do and weren't too stressful! I always manage to chip my nails (I don't have a clue how?!?!) on the same day that I paint them so try and avoid doing this!

Food Colouring

Bonjour!

Yesterday afternoon I got a bit bored... so I went through the biscuit cupboard and found some food colouring. The lid hadn't been done up on the blue colouring properly so I managed to spill a little bit of it into my glass of water. Nice one Katie...

It turned out that it looked really cool, so I went and got my camera and refilled my glass of water. I set my camera up and I put my red and blue food colouring in, here's my results. Enjoy :-)

This last one was taken from my Ipod, sorry for the crap quality! x x

Polesden Lacey

Aloha!

So this is my first post and I'm really really not sure what to blog about, so here it goes....

About two years ago for Christmas I received a camera from my parents. It's a Fujimilm AX280 14 MP.

It's an amaaaaaaaazing camera but when I got it I wan't really into taking photos. Only recently I've grown a massive interest in photography. Because of this sudden interest, I asked my parents if they could kindly take me down to Polesden Lacey. Polesden Lacey is owned by the National Trust and it's located near Dorking. It's a beautiful house located in acres of country side, perfect for taking pictures!

Here are a few snaps that I took, enjoy :-)
